A man in his 20s has been released without charge this Monday morning as Gardaí in Cork continue to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the murder of 47-year-old, Kieran Quilligan.
Mr Quilligan was reported missing from his home in Cork City on Friday, September 1, 2023.
In regards to the man released, Gardaí have confirmed: "A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions."
A second man, aged in his 30s, remains detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in Cork city.
Investigations are ongoing.
