IT WAS a "special night" in Dublin's 3Olympia on Tuesday, as hip-hop trio Kneecap closed their sell-out show with a rousing tribute to the late and great Shane McGowan.
The Belfast group were playing, with their usual riotous energy, the first of two nights in the Dublin venue which was packed to the rafters.

As they finished their set and said their goodnights to the crowd, The Pogues' Fairytale of New York played over the speakers.
An irresistible sing-along at best, it took on even more poignancy after the recent passing of legendary front man Shane McGowan as the whole crowd sang it loud and brought the show to a festive end for the Kneecap boys.
