A product recall alert has been issued after an electric shock risk was detected with a DSHOW hair straightener product sold on Amazon.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has warned that the DSHOW Hair Crimper Hair Waver Hair Straightener Curling Iron product presents a risk of electric shock.
The product does not comply with the requirements of the relevant safety standards.
The brand is DSHOW. The ASIN number is B071JNLNPB. The model number is HL-066. The barcode is unknown.
The CCPC confirmed that the product was sold online through Amazon. There are approximately 113 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately, CCPC advises.
The CCPC said consumers may wish to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to them. This can be done via your user account on Amazon.
