Many roads around Offaly flooded this morning

Take care out there

Numerous routes around Offaly are affected by flooding this morning, causing serious disruption to traffic.

Motorists are affected on the Tullamore to Portarlington road where sitting water is causing a hazard, mostly in the Geashill area.

AA is also reporting flooding at Blueball.

Extra care is advised in Sharvogue and Drumakeenan where roads are flooded.

Toward the North of the county, there are spots of localised flooding between Edenderry and Clonbullogue and Clonbullogue and Bracknagh where there is substantial surface water in areas.

There are also reports reaching us of flooding at various points on the N62, particularly between Birr and Roscrea.

Flooding is reported on the N80 near Killeigh. Also, the Newtown Bridge on the Killeigh to Geashill Road is also badly flooded.

The road between Kinnitty and Clonaslee is also hit with surface flooding and caution is advised.

Let us know if you know of other areas suffering from flooding this morning.
