Details announced for Birr Stages Rally 2022

Details have been announced for this year's Birr Stages rally.

BIRR & District Motor Club are excited to announce details of their upcoming Tarmac Stages Rally, a rally that will be centered on the competitor, ensuring friendliness and homely hospitality!
This year they are delighted to welcome a new title sponsor on board – Pat Horan Motors Camper Centre of Ireland. Pat is a founding member of Birr & District Motor Club and the club is very grateful for his longstanding support throughout the years. They are also thrilled to welcome onboard club members Eoghan Fogarty from RAE Autofactors and Paul O’Brien from Sola Energy Solutions as their stage sponsors.
This year they have a new Clerk of the Course, Eoin Longworth – a rallying stalwart. Eoin has taken over the reins from longstanding COC Bill Ryan and they wish him every success in the venture.
To add to the newness of the event they are using a new location. They will have a Super HQ located at Garahy’s Garage, outside of Birr. This will be their hospitality hub. A new HQ location also means new stages, some parts which have been used before throughout the years but they know competitors will relish the chance to drive the new terrain.
This year the event will be a counting round of four championships: Triton Showers National Rally Championship, Top Part West Coast National Rally Championship, Hugo Loonam Motors Midlands East Rally Championship and for the first time they welcome along Sligo Pallets Border Rally Championship.
Lastly with the new elements of their event they announce that they also have a new date – Sunday April 3rd, mark the calendars and keep an eye out for Regulations to go online very soon. They hope to open entries on Monday March 7th. Keep an eye on their website www.birrmotorclub.com or their social media for updates.
