Cronan is the Saint of Roscrea and a new hymn and accompanying video composed and produced by Roscrea people will go live this weekend.

The Roscrea group behind the project are delighted to announce that the video for 'O Holy Cronan' will be available to view across social media platforms from this weekend.

This marks the culmination of a truly memorable and special collaborative project—one that brought together so many elements of the parish and wider community in a shared celebration of St Cronan.

Sincere thanks are extended to composer Séamus Doran, to Tadhg Maher, and to the Primary School choirs from Corville, Dromakeenan, Sacred Heart, and Scoil Eoin.

"We are also deeply grateful to the school principals, music teachers, and secretaries for their enthusiasm, commitment, and invaluable support throughout the project," the group said.

The project would not have been possible without the generous financial backing of our main sponsor Premier Credit Union, along with Bernie’s SuperValu, Fitzpatrick Travel, the Parish Council, and the Soul-Care Prayer Group, to whom they extend their sincere thanks.

Speaking on behalf of the main sponsor, Brian King, CEO of Premier Credit Union, said:

“At Premier Credit Union, we are proud to support projects that truly reflect the heart of the community. ‘O Holy Cronan’ is a wonderful example of people coming together—young and old—to celebrate faith, heritage, and togetherness.

"It’s a privilege for us to play a part in something so meaningful.”

Composer Séamus Doran described the experience as deeply rewarding:

“Composing ‘O Holy Cronan’ was a very special journey. Hearing the song brought to life by local school children and seeing the level of community involvement has been incredibly moving. It’s a tribute not just to St Cronan, but to the spirit of this parish.”

Parish Priest Fr Molloy highlighted the wider significance of the project:

“This project beautifully captures the faith, generosity, and sense of belonging that exists within our parish. It has been uplifting to see so many people, particularly our young people, involved in honouring St Cronan in such a creative and prayerful way.”

"To everyone who contributed in any way—Míle Buíochas."
