Roscrea's Age Friendly and Youth Service attend Croke Park

Age Friendly Roscrea attended an event in Croke Park hosted by Adult Literacy for Life (Solas/ETB) which showcased Literacy Champions around the country.

Age friendly Roscrea in collaboration with Roscrea Youth Service produced a book with stories from young and older people living in Roscrea.

Everyone was very proud of their contribution to the book, and it has proved to be a very popular read.

"We enjoyed the day meeting other groups from all over Ireland and seeing the promotion of literacy skills in practice. We would like to thank Solas for their funding of our book project which couldn’t have happened without their support", Mary McMahon from Age Friendly Roscrea said.
