In the early morning hours of May 10th people gathered at the Fancy Fountain in Rosemary Square to raise both awareness and vital funds for Pieta House, and what a beautiful turnout it was.

Around 120 people walked from Darkness into Light and the organisers have issued a heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up – “your presence made a real difference”, they said.

A sincere thank you to the businesses of Roscrea who generously donated refreshments for after the event – your support is always appreciated. We were honoured to have Nikita Conlon open the event – thank you for sharing that moment with us; it was a privilege to have you involved.

To those who helped steward the event – Mike Edwards, the local bikers, and An Garda Síochána – your help ensured everything ran smoothly and safely. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

A huge thank you to Emily for the stunning artwork filled with messages of hope, which she created over the past few weeks. Emily also took it upon herself to fundraise and raised over €200 – an incredible effort.

Thanks as well to all the young people at Roscrea Youth Service who helped in so many ways in the lead-up to the event – from setting up to making bunting. A special shout-out to Ella and Terry, who helped put up posters around town.

Thank you to the Lions Club for kindly allowing us to use the hall again this year – your continued support means so much.
And finally, thank you to the people of Roscrea – for walking with us, sharing our posts, donating, and taking part in the Tree of Positivity. Your community spirit was shining bright this morning.

This event wouldn't have been possible without each and every one of you – thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
