Some of the damage caused to the GAA pitch in Cloghan by a vandal recently.
A spokesman in Birr Garda Station told The Midland Tribune about a recent mindless act of vandalism in Cloghan village.
At some stage between Tuesday and Thursday, January 28th to 30th, a vehicle entered St Rynagh's Football Club on Birr Road, Cloghan and performed a series of doughnuts, badly damaging the pitch.
“Extensive damage was caused to the pitch,” said the Garda spokesman, “causing considerable upset locally. We have harvested CCTV footage and we are following a definite line of inquiry."
