Roscrea Trailblazers on a portion of the Greenway Walk
Now that the long evenings are here we can look forward to some fantastic walks.
Last Thursday night we had a well attended walk on the Knockbarron Loop outside Kinnity. It was great to see the trail upgrade done to the area in the last few weeks. Both this walk and last weeks walk around Golden Grove woods were led by local man, Martin Ryan, well done Martin for taking such good care of everyone.
Our walk this Thursday night the 17th August is the Brittas Lake Loop at Clonaslee in the Slieve Blooms. A fantastic woodland walk and one not to be missed. Distance : 6.5 km, Grade: Moderate , Time: 1.5 hours. Meeting at The Brittas Lake Trailhead at 7pm.
The best of luck to our club members who are climbing Snowdon in Wales at the weekend. Our next Greenway walk will be the Eight and final section of The Grand Canal GreenWay on Sunday the 10th August from Pollagh Village to Shannon Harbour a distance of 19km. details to follow.
