What is the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland for Christmas Day

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, we are in for unseasonable weather over the Christmas period with Met Eireann forecasting that high pressure will dominate with temperatures reaching as high as 14 degrees on Christmas Day. 

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, Christmas Eve will be mostly cloudy but it will be largely dry with just a little patchy light rain and drizzle here and there. There'll be some mist and hill and coastal fog too, for a time. Unseasonably mild with highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees in mostly moderate southwest winds, a little fresher in coastal parts of the northwest.

Christmas Eve night will bring very favourable conditions for Santa's visit around Ireland. It'll be mainly dry with variable cloud amounts and a few clear spells, with just a few patches of drizzle and mist. Temperatures will be no lower than 8 to 11 degrees in mostly moderate south to southwest winds, fresh to strong in some coastal parts of the west and northwest.

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, Christmas Day will be largely dry and mild for many with a good deal of cloud overall but some bright or sunny spells too. There will be a few patches of light rain and drizzle for some. Another unseasonably mild day, with highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in mostly moderate south to southwest winds, fresher for a time in coastal parts of the west and northwest.

Christmas night will continue largely dry, and often cloudy for many, with just a few spots of light rain and drizzle. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will be more persistent in parts of the west and northwest, however. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, St. Stephens Day is likely to be mostly cloudy with patchy rain, drizzle and mist. A few bright or sunny spells are possible too, with these most likely in the midlands and east. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate south to southwest winds, fresher at times in coastal parts of the west and northwest. Thursday night, St Stephen's night, will continue mostly cloudy with a few spots of light rain and drizzle. There is a chance that more persistent rain will affect parts of northwest Connacht and west Ulster. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light to moderate south to southwest winds, fresher at times in coastal parts of the west and northwest.

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, Friday looks like another mostly cloudy and largely dry day for many with just a few patches of light rain and drizzle. More persistent rain and drizzle could occur in west Connacht and west Ulster, however. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light to moderate south to southwest winds. Little change on Friday night; mostly cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle, more persistent in the west and northwest. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in mainly light southerly winds.
