Eighteen counties have been hit with a Met Eireann weather warning as the national forecaster warns of heavy rain and flooding.
A Status Yellow Rain Warning has been issued for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Tipperary and Waterford.
The Warning comes into place at 4am on Tuesday morning and remains in place in until 4am on Wednesday morning.
Met Eireann is warning that rain will become persistent and heavy at times leading to localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility.
