Staff at Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore play their part on Goal Jersey Day

On Friday, October 14, staff at Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore showed their support for the lifesaving work which Goal undertake by wearing their favorite jerseys to work.

Many colours were on display throughout MRHT where more than 100 staff members donned their favourite county or Club GAA, soccer or rugby jerseys.

Every year schools and companies throughout the country are encouraged to partake in what has become Goal’s flagship fundraising campaign.

John Burns, who works in the Biochemistry Department and organised the event, explained why he encouraged so many staff members to participate this year, “Goal does amazing work throughout the developing world which saves lives on a daily basis. As healthcare workers we recognize their dedication and wanted to show solidarity in the work they do”, said Mr. Burns. 

The hospital were delighted that so many staff members, from across all Departments, participated in the event and raised €557.
