The Offaly man, who died in a traffic accident while on holiday in Turkey, has been named as Michael "Mouse" Kelly from Ballaghanoher, Banagher road in Birr.

The Offaly man, who died in a traffic accident while on holiday in Turkey, has been named as Michael "Mouse" Kelly from Ballaghanoher, Banagher road in Birr.

His death notice on RIP.ie says he passed away tragically whilst holidaying in Turkey on Thursday, July 4 last.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

From a well known family in Birr, "Mouse", as he was affectionately known, came to national prominence in the 1990s when he won millions in the Lotto jackpot.

No further details of the road traffic incident have been released as of yet.
