ALERT: Risk of electrocution prompts 'immediate' recall of two aquarium products

Irish consumers who purchased the aquarium products are advised to please discontinue use

Risk of electrocution prompts 'immediate' recall of two popular fish aquarium products

Two popular pet habitat products are being recalled due to the identification of a major safety issue.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the issue was found in the Lominie Aquarium Light and the Lominie Bar 10 LED Aquarium Light sold on the Amazon platform.

The products present a risk of electric shock due to plug pin irregularities; if the products are forced in repeatedly, the socket connectors will wear down, and the socket will become unsafe to use.

If used when the socket is damaged, the customer may be electrocuted.

The Amazon ASIN for the first product is B0BFWZL8WD (barcode X001N27T5V), while the ASIN for the second product is B0BLJVZLS4 (barcode X001NY3LQS).

The brand, model number and batch numbers are unknown.

Anyone who purchased one of these products is advised to please discontinue use immediately.

You may wish to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on Amazon.
