Palestinians inspect the damage following an Israeli airstrike on the El-Remal aera in Gaza City on October 9
A solidarity rally for the people of Palestine is planned for Roscrea on Wednesday (Oct 8th) at 6.30pm.
The event will take place at Market Square in Roscrea.
"Currently the over 2 million civilians living in Gaza are being subjected to a bombing campaign after 16 years of an illegal blockade during which Israel treated Gaza as an open air prison. On top of this their water, communications and power has been shut off by Israel which compounds the already impossible conditions they live under", organisers said ahead of the event.
"Nearly 10,000 Palestinian's have been killed by Israel since the 7th of October and despite this the EU the UK and America continues to support Israel even as expects have raised concerns that Israels indiscriminate attack on Palestinian's amounts to an attempted genocide", the organisers said.
