Bank Holiday Monday in Roscrea saw record crowds attend what was one of the most successful nights since the annual Halloween event began a decade ago.

This year the main event took place at the old Tesco hall, where some very spooky children and parents shared their enthusiasm for spookiest time of year.

From the moment the event kicked off the hall was rocking, the dance floor was at what Roscrea people call "full tilt" and the  dances moves were just "WOW"!

The people loved the decorations as soon as they entered the hall and the clown corner was busy with lots of activities and the spooky Graveyard Zone were a big it with the children.

Members of the Organising Committee - Gillian Pearson, Claire O'Meara, Cllr. Shane Lee and Kieran O'Meara

Following all of the inside activities a huge crowd assembled for the firework display - with all agreeing this year's display was one of the best yet.

Our very small committee is made up by Claire O'Meara, Gillian Pearson, Amanda Phelan, Councillor Shane Lee and the hard working group said they were absolutely overwhelmed with the support on the night.

The committee wish like to thank and acknowledge Coláiste Phobal and Tipperary ETB for the use of the sports field; Mark Devereux and Roscrea Centre for the use of a fantastic hall; the volunteers who helped our committee on the night; St. Cronan's National school and Scoil Eoin Naofa for the amazing decorations; Roscrea Garda Station for the use of their safety barriers; Tipperary County Council; the local media and PJ Wright for his photography; Sean Hogan and everyone that supported the night.
