Roscrea Trailblazers on a recent portion of the Greenway Walk
Last Thursday saw another great turnout for Roscrea Trail Blazers walk around The Prayer Loop at Mount St Joseph’s Abbey. A fantastic short flat walk through the grounds of the Abbey and returning by The Little Brosna River. Well done to everyone that made the effort.
This Thursday, February 9, they are back in the town of Birr, Co Offaly with a walk around the town and its surrounding roads and lanes. Grade: moderate, Time: two hours. Distance: 8km.
Meeting at the Main Tesco carpark at 7pm, please bring head/hand torch and Hi Viz jacket.
The next Greenway walk will be the second section of The Grand Canal Way on Sunday, February 26, from Lock 12 to Sallins, 17km and a flat walk.
The best of luck to 10 of our members attempting to climb Ben Nevis in Winter conditions next week, more details to follow.
