Roscrea Trailblazers back in action for 2023

New members are always welcome to join the lively walking group

Roscrea Trailblazers out and about

Roscrea Trailblazers are looking forward to a busy 2023 and always welcome new members

The first Thursday night walk for 2023 was the Glinsk Castle Loop at the back of Kinnitty Castle.

It was great to see some new members join the enthusiastic group under a star filled sky. A fantastic woodland walk and well worth the effort. Well done to everyone that made the effort.

This Thursday, January 12, they are back at a walk we have not done for quite a while, The Brittas Lake Loop at Clonaslee. Grade: moderate. Time: Two hours. Distance: 8km, Meeting at the Brittas Lake Trail Head in Clonaslee at 7pm, please bring head/hand torch and Hi Viz jacket.

Well done to everyone that made the effort on Sunday last with the first section of The Grand Canal Greenway from The Grand Canal Docks to Lock 12 near Adamstown, a distance of 17 km. A fine weather day made it all the more enjoyable with great company and tea and coffee at the end. The next Greenway walk will be the second section of The Grand Canal Way on Sunday February 26 from Lock 12 to Sallins, 17km and a flat walk.

The best of luck to all members travelling to Dublin this Sunday for The Howth Head Cliff Walk (The Bog of Frogs Loop).

If you would like to join the group on any of their future walks you can contact Cathal on (086) 3399193 with an expression of interest or join the WhatsApp group.
