Paint specialists Dulux have made a bold statement by launching three beautiful shades of blue for their Dulux Colours of the Year 2026, the Rhythm of Blues.
The palette of blues is described by the experts at Dulux as ‘a family of colours that can soothe, steady or excite, depending on how you play it.’
Breaking with tradition, it’s the first time they’ve stepped away from a single hue – think 2025’s True Joy, an uplifting sunshine yellow – and launched a trio of blues as part of its Colours of the Year.
To spur your creativity, Marianne Shillingford, creative director and colour expert at Dulux, says: “This collection offers colours you can find peace in, and colours you can dance to, centred around three distinct rhythms to offer endless possibilities for changing the pace of your space.”
Moreover, these pops of colour – which pair with almost anything – mean you can blend the three shades into your scheme… without limiting yourself to colour blocking with one hue.
Coordinating with varying depth of pigment, there’s the ‘airy and serene’ Mellow Flow, ‘vibrant and expressive’ Free Groove, and ‘rich and grounding’ Slow Swing…
“It’s a family of colours that can soothe, steady or excite, depending on how you play it,” suggests Shillingford.
