WEATHER WARNING: Met Eireann issues Cold Weather Warning as Arctic airmass set to hit Ireland hard
Met Eireann has issued Cold Weather Warning for Ireland as an Arctic airmass is set to hit hard over the coming days and into next week.
The Low Temperature and Ice Warning comes into effect at 10pm on Thursday until 10am on Friday. Met Eireann is warning that there will be hazardous conditions. A sharp to severe frost will lead to icy surfaces, as temperatures widely fall to - 4 degrees.
The weather is set to turn colder from tonight with a widespread sharp frost with some wintry showers.
Met Eireann is warning that it will be very cold this week as an Arctic airmass sets in, bringing sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches on roads. Showers of hail, sleet, and snow will occur.
