A teenage girl is being treated for serious injuries after being hit by a car in Laois yesterday.
The collision occurred on the R427 Road at Ratheniska between Stradbally and Abbeyleix at around 4.50pm on Monday.
The road was closed overnight following the serious collision but has since reopened.

Gardaí said: “A female, in her teens, was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore to be treated for what is believed to be serious injuries."
Investigations are ongoing, Gardai said.
