Niall McNamee may have found the going tough in the two county finals as Declan Hogan did a great marking job on him but he rescued them in the drawn game – scoring a magnificent second half point and getting the late equalising goal. Before that, he had some brilliant displays – injured in the first round defeat by Durrow, he got a sensational 3-8, 3-6 from play, in the group win over Ferbane and got some breath-taking scores.
