Planning sought for 16-house development in Birr

Offaly County Council is to consider a planning application lodged this week for the construction of 16 houses on the Tullamore Road in Birr.

The application includes six 3-bedroom two-storey terrace houses and ten 3-bedroom semi-detached houses on lands west of McAuley Drive in the heritag town.

The proposed works would include a link up to the mains sewer, landscaping, access road via the western boundary and all associated site works.

Offaly County Council will now consider the proposals and release its decision in the coming months.
