Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore
The HSE's Escalation Policy remains in place at the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore.
It is in place as the hospital has experienced high levels of attendances with many patients requiring admission today (Thursday, March 8).
As a result, the HSE’s Escalation Policy remains activated at the hospital. In a statement the hospital states, "In order to assist us we are requesting that patients in the first instance, consider using their GP out of hours for medical assessment, where possible. The Hospital regrets that any patient should experience delays in accessing In Patient beds."
