Offaly Fire & Rescue Service were involved in an assist this morning in Offaly after Storm Emma threatened to leave it snowed under.

The crew had to dig and pull a National Ambulance Service vehicle from a snow drift in the early hours of Friday morning.

The vehicle in question is a large 4x4 jeep and Fire Services say, "if it struggled with the current road conditions, acar will have no chance."
