As well as most schools in the county, a number of county services and amenities are closed today, Wednesday, February 28, due to the heavy snowfall overnight.

People are advised that the following service, amenities and roads are closed in Offaly:

- Court sittings due to sit in Tullamore (adjourned until Monday, March 5)

- The Civic Amenity Waste and Recycling Site at Derryclure

- The Tullamore Harriers 

- The R440 road between Kinnitty and Mountrath 

- Locallink Bus Services in Offaly

- All post-primary school GAA fixtures 

- Tullamore Mart Sheep Sale (Wednesday, February 28)

- Tullamore Mart Cattle Event (Thursday, March 1)

- Edenderry Further Education and Training Centre

- Tullamore Further Education and Training Centre

- Portarlington Further Education and Training Centre

- Offaly GAA Pathway Workshops (Faithful Fields - Wednesday)

- Offaly Development Squad Training (Faithful Fields - Wednesday)

- Edenderry Coderdojo

- Major disruption to Bus Eireann Services (Check with provider)

- Professional Development Service for Teachers - PE Training Workshop in Tullamore (Thursday, March 1)

- Slieve Bloom Coaches Townlink - Portlaoise-Mountmellick-Tullamore 

- DPD Delivery Services 

- Croghan Hill Challenge Launch Night (Thursday, March 1)
