SCHOOLS CLOSED: Offaly schools announce they will close today due to heavy snowfall
Some Offaly schools have announced that they will close today due to the heavy snowfall overnight.
St Mary's Secondary School, Oaklands Community College and Scoil Mhuire Banrion in Edenderry have taken the decision this morning as has Colaiste Iosagain in Portarlington. Gaelscoil Edenderry will also reportedly remain closed.
Tullamore College and Colaiste Choilm in Tullamore will close however the Sacred Heart School will remain open.
Tullamore and Edenderry Further Education and Training Centres will also remain closed.
St Cynoc's in Ferbane is closed as is Scoil Mhuire in Tullamore. St Partrick's Boys NS in Portarlington, Geashill NS and St Mary's Primary School in Edenderry are all closed.
UPDATE: Killina Secondary School is also closed as is Rahan National School. Ballinamere NS will also close.
UPDATE: Ard Scoil Chiaran and the national schools in Clara are also closed. St Mary's NS in Pullough is also closed. Kilcormac Secondary School is closed.

More are expected to close their doors in the coming days as more heavy snow is forecast on Thursday.
