The 2016 National Ploughing Championships is taking place at Screggan, Tullamore, Co Offaly.
The event attracted a record crowd on Day 1 and large crowds are expected for the remaining two days.
Gardai are asking people travelling to the event to read the Garda Traffic Plan, follow the designated routes, turn off Sat Navs, obey Gardai and Stewards and finally have patience.
This advice is more important this year than any other year, managing the traffic at the 2016 Ploughing Championships is more challenging this year due to the new location, the proximity to the large population of Tullamore and the closure of the N52 Birr to Tullamore road.
