ALERT: Road across Offaly flooded and dangerous after persistent heavy rain
A number of road across Offaly are flooded and potentially dangerous after persistent heavy rain over a number of days.
Standing water is being reported on a number of local roads across the county and motorists are being warned to drive with caution.
There are also large patches of standing water on national roads.
More rain is forecast for the rest of this evening with further showers tonight meaning standing water and floods on some roads are likely to remain in the morning.
