10 – Kyle Higgins - Kyle Higgins' emergence has been a great help to Offaly this year. A promising young underage player, he spent time away and is only establishing himself now. It looked like the inter county ship had sailed for him but he has taken full advantage of his chance this year. He has worked very hard to get himself into terrific physical shape and he is another player with a great work ethic. He breaks tackles, blocks runs and forages in midfield for breaks. With the best emerging midfielder in Offaly, Cillian Bourke injured and Offaly short of a real natural ball winning player here, these attributes are crucial. He missed the Clare game but a scan on a hamstring came back all clear and he did well on Sunday. Rating – 7.
