Offaly manager 'relieved of role' with immediate effect three games into season
Offaly Ladies Football manager Greg Farrelly has been relieved of his role with immediate effect.
A statement from Offaly LGFA states that following a meeting between the County Board Executive and the Intermediate Management, Farrelly was relieved of his role as manager, effective immediately.
Edenderry man Farrelly was appointed as the manager of the county team for 2024. He was previously the manager during a great era in the 2010s. He managed the Offaly junior and minor teams from 2012 to 2016 and the highlight was leading the juniors to Leinster and All-Ireland glory in 2013.
Offaly have a difficult start to their season in Division 3 of the Ladies National Football League shipping heavy defeats to Limerick and Wexford while they also lost by six points to Carlow. They are bottom of the Division 3 table.
A former footballer with Edenderry, he has vast experience of managing teams in both the ladies and men's games.
