Gardaí in Laois are investigating a crash that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, November 24 in Clonaslee.
The driver of the vehicle collided with a parked car while flower pots belonging to the Tidy Towns were also damaged in the incident.
"Gardaí received a report of a road traffic collision that occurred in Clonaslee, Co. Laois in the early hours of Sunday, 24th November 2024. It is reported that a vehicle collided with a stationary, unoccupied car at approximately 4:50am. No injuries were reported. Enquiries are ongoing," a Garda spokesperson told Leinster Express/Laois Live.
Clonsalee Tidy Towns group took to social media to issue an appeal over the crash outside the old protestant church.
"A lot of damaged caused by the driver of a White saloon car who left the area heading towards Rosenallis direction. A lot of damage to their car particularly the drivers side and exhaust system, from the sounds of it with damage to our flower pots located there. A parked car was also damaged," they said.
"Any information contact Portlaoise Gardai who are aware of the incident. 057 867 4100."
