Revellers at last year's Black Tie Ball
Tickets now on sale for annual Black Tie Ball in Tullamore
THE annual Black Tie Charity Ball takes place on Saturday, November 23 in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore, in aid of Offaly Family Carers and Power4Good .
Music and drinks reception at 7.00p.m. in the hotel lobby, will be followed by a four course meal. Tickets €85. The event is jointly sponsored by W.R. Shaw and Tullamore Credit Union.
Why not join other local businesses and take this opportunity to celebrate Christmas, a party night with a difference. Larger numbers can be accommodated or you can name a table after your business - €50.00 – and not only will you be creating awareness for your company but you will also be supporting two local charities. This is a great night for family and friends to start their Christmas celebrations.
There are 10,000 family carers in Offaly, who receive information, support, and much needed respite. A family carer looks after their loved ones in the home 24/7, often without any help, sometimes resulting in the carer becoming ill themselves through stress and worry for their loved one.
A big worry for carers is if they become ill, what will happen to the person they are caring for.
When Family Carers Offaly intervene to provide support and respite, this alleviates some of the worry and stress on the Carer.
Family Carers Ireland provide a range of services, including in-home respite service and counselling to family carers.
Family Carers Ireland also provide a confidential one to one service in person to Family Carers in need of support.
Power 4 Good Ireland, a registered charity based in Tullamore, supports services for young people with a disability in Zambia to ensure they can enjoy full human rights and achieve their maximum potential.
Power4Good also make contributions to local services for children and young people with autism in Offaly.
This will be a fun filled night with good food, music, laughter and dancing. The Secrets will be entertaining party goers into the early hours and, if you’re still able, you can dance the night away with the DJ ‘til late. There will be over €1,000 in prizes for the Best Dressed Lady on the night.
