Offaly resident wins three gold medals at the World Masters Rowing Championships

Kenny McDonald won three gold medals at the World Masters Rowing Championships in Brandenburg Germany recently.

He raced with the Irish Masters men's 8+ crew. The Irish crew beat international competition from across the world.

Kenny is the current World Indoor World lightweight 50+ Champion over 2km and 500m.

He is attempting to break the 100,000m World Record with the Irish Rugby legends on September 28th for the IRFU charitable trust.

Kenny lives in Moneygall and works as a Garda Instructor at the Garda training College Templemore.
