Offaly councillors extend sympathy to families of recently deceased in area

SYMPATHY was extended to the families of a number of people who passed away in the Tullamore area recently by members of the Municipal District at their monthly meeting on Friday afternoon last.

Cathaoirleach, Cllr Frank Moran sympathised with council employee, Willie Kelly on the recent death of his wife, Pauline.

Seconding the proposal Cllr Neil Feighery described Mr Kelly as a "very fine colleague" in Offaly County Council while Cllr Tony McCormack said he is "a great worker who always has a smile on his face."

Cllr McCormack said Pauline was a member of a well known Tullamore family from Connolly Park and later Cloonagh.

Cllr McCormack also extended his condolences to another well known Tullamore family on the passing of Ben Lawlor and to the Troy family, Cappincur on the death of Mrs Gertie Troy.

Cllr Feighery further extended sympathy to the family of the late PJ McDonald, Killeenmore, Killeigh whom he said had "done a lot of work for the council."
