Surprise celebration for 50 years of service at Dunnes Stores in Tullamore

Staff and management at Dunnes Stores have celebrated Mary Rooney’s 50 years of service with a cake, gifts and flowers.  

The surprise celebration was held by staff and management at Dunnes Stores on Church Road in Tullamore.

Mary started out her career at the old Dunnes Stores on Patrick Street on September 14, 1974, before either of the two existing Tullamore Stores were opened.  

She helped with the recruitment for the Bridge Centre Store which opened in 1995  but the Church Road store, which she adores, was where she stayed.

Long standing colleagues Martina Spain and Fiona Goulding from the Bridge Centre Store along with manager Dave Leavis came down to the Church Road store to join in the celebrations for Mary’s half a century of service.
