Man stole Jameson whiskey and John West tuna from supermarket in the Midlands

The court was told the four bottles of whiskey and multipack tuna was valued at €128

Kildare cocaine dealer jailed at Portlaoise court

A man admitted stealing four bottles of Jameson Whiskey and two multipacks of John West tuna from Supervalu in Portlaoise. 

Arunas Poskus (48) with addresses at 80-90 Lower Gardiner Street, Dublin 1 and 34 The Birches, Kinacourt Woods, Portarlington admitted stealing the items from Supervalu, Abbeyleix Road, Portlaoise on October 20, 2023. The items were valued at €128.  

A solicitor said his client, who was pleading guilty, was in custody. He said there was consent to a long adjournment. 

Judge Nicola Andrews remanded the defendant in custody with consent to bail to appear again before Portlaoise District Court on September 10.
