Permission granted for new restaurant with take away in centre of Tullamore

Offaly County Council has granted conditional planning approval for a new restaurant with takeaway and apartments on Columcille Street in Tullamore.

The development will involve the reconstruction and extension of a building on the street from offices on the ground floor to a takeaway restaurant.

Also included in the plans is the construction of a one bedroom apartment and a studio apartment on the first floor. The reconstruction of a 1 X 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen, dining, living room on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor.

The development will see the retention of partially constructed internal walls and stairs on the first and second floor and the retention of an access gateway and permission for the replacement of the gate with vehicular and pedestrian access. The building is a protected structure.

The applicants are SSC Properties Ltd, whose directors are listed in Offaly County Council planning files as Stiofan McNeill and Ciaran McNeill (company secretary).

Offaly County Council attached 13 conditions when granting permission.
