Nowlan Park recently hosted 19,000 fans for the Kilkenny v Wexford clash which PRO Mary Morgan said was a good "dry run" for Saturday night's game.
With a capacity 26,000 expected for Saturday night's game, Ms Morgan said it gave them an opportunity to iron out any small issues ahead of the U20 All-Ireland final.
Gates for the game will open at 5pm.
Ms Morgan advised people to arrive early in Kilkenny, especially as the city is also hosting the Cat Laughs Festival.
A number of local clubs in Kilkenny will be providing parking and entertainment on the day as Kilkenny honours the 100th centenary of James Nowlan, who the ground is named after.
