Green light for plans to turn butchers in Tullamore into restaurant

The green light has been given for plans to turn a butchers in Tullamore into a restaurant.

Mohsin Khan Shahzadagul sought permission to convert a prominent building on Bridge Street in Tullamore into a restaurant and take away. 

The building in the centre of the town was formerly Tormey's Butchers which closed for the final time in 2023 after serving the town for 53 years. 

Plans have now have approved by Offaly County Council to convert it into a restaurant and take away with ten conditions attached.

The existing facade of the building will stay the same with just a change of signage.

The first floor of the building will remain as per its current use.
