West Offaly will not be forgotten the Independent candidate in the Birr area in next June's local elections, Martin Buckley, has vowed

With eight weeks remaining and a lot of canvassing to do, Martin Buckley took the time recently to thank the Gallagher family from The Pull Inn for their generous donation towards his campaign and, in particular, his new signs displayed on the van and car.

The hard working committee of the Pullough Community and Youth Centre were also visited and thanked for their contribution towards the costs of the leaflets which will be used on the campaign trail when visiting all the towns and villages across West Offaly in the weeks ahead.

Mr Buckley and his voluntary campaign team have met voluntary, community and sporting groups over the past few weeks and have recieved great feedback on the many challenges faced from lack of facilities, shortage of volunteers and insurance costs.

The well known local activist is looking forward to chatting more people across West Offaly about their issues and asking for their No.1 so these issues can be discussed and addressed in the council chambers.

The independent candidate believes "towns and villages in west Offaly have not benefited enough from Government grants and supports or the so called Just Transition". He has pledged that "all needs of west Offaly are identified and addressed and that no one or no area is left behind".
