According to the latest weather forecast from Met Eireann, Tuesday is set to start out wet and blustery but good spells of sunshine should develop later in the day.

A series of Weather Warnings are in place for the early hours of Tuesday from Met Eireann. 

There is a Status Yellow Wind and Rainfall warning for Cork and Kerry. Met Eireann is warning that from Monday evening to Tuesday morning there will be very strong and gusty west to southwest winds and spells of heavy rain.

Possible impacts include falling branches, damage to temporary structures, localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions. The warning is in place from 7pm on Monday evening until 6am on Tuesday morning.

Met Eireann has also issued a Status Yellow Wind Warning for Clare, Limerick and Galway. Met Eireann is warning that there will be very strong and gusty southwest winds for a time on Tuesday morning. The warning is valid from 1am on Tuesday until 8am on Tuesday.

The full weather forecast for Ireland from Met Eireann says that rain will clear away to the northeast at first tonight with drier and clearer weather developing for many for a time. However, a further spell of heavy rain will quickly return to the south of the country overnight bringing the chance of some localised flooding there. Turning very windy in the southwest and west. Strong and gusty southeast winds, will veer southwest in direction overnight. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees.

The morning will continue  blustery and rather wet start with scattered outbreaks of rain across the country however it will turn drier during the day as rain clears away to the north with good spells of sunshine developing.

Maximum temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees with fresh to strong southwest winds moderating through the day.

According to Met Eireann, it will be largely dry with clear skies at first on Tuesday night but cloud will thicken from the Atlantic with rain developing in the south and west later in the night. Rather cold for a time early in the night in the north and east with lows of 2 to 5 degrees, less cold further south and west with lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees. Southeast winds will freshen overnight.
