Ireland on storm alert yet again as 'damaging' Storm Jocelyn to hit the country

As the clean up operation from Storm Isha continues with homes across the country still without power, another storm is on bearing down on Ireland.

According to Met Éireann, Storm Jocelyn will hit Ireland through Tuesday and Wednesday bringing more damaging winds 

A number of Weather Warnings have already been issued for Storm Jocelyn.

A Status Orange wind warning has been issued for Donegal. The weather warning is valid from 6pm on Tuesday until 2am on Wednesday. It warns of large coastal waves, very difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees as well as possible damage to power lines and already weakened structures.

A Status Orange wind warning has also been issued for Galway and Mayo. The weather warning is in place from 6pm on Tuesday until 12am on Wednesday with Met Eireann warning that Storm Jocelyn will bring very strong southwest to west winds with severe and damaging gusts.

Also on Tuesday, a Status Yellow Wind Warning has been issued for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Roscommon, Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Clare, Kerry, Galway and Mayo.

A Status Yellow Wind Warning remains in place until 7pm today (Monday) for Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo remains in place until 7pm this evening.
