Dog poo 'out of control' on one Offaly road with locals urged to report offenders
Locals are fuming in Ferbane over a dog fouling problem they say is now "out of control."
Ferbane Tidy Towns posted an update and urged people to report incidents to the dog warden.
The group said: "The dog fouling on the Ballyclare Road is completely out of control.
"We are getting daily reports. Please contact the dog warden at Offaly County Council if you have any suspicions and report on the ‘See It Say It’ app.
"Despite it being an offence not to pick up after your dog with a fine of up to €3000, it can cause blindness in children. How can owners have such disregard for children in our community. Pure laziness on these dog owners. Shame on you."
The group posted pictures of dog poo found on the road in one day - a total of 12 on one stretch of path.
