Young Cloghan woman arrested for allegedly growing cannabis for sale

The Guards discovered a number of cannabis plants in a house in Cloghan.

A young Cloghan woman was arrested last week for growing cannabis plants, allegedly for sale and supply, in her home.

The house was searched by the Offaly Drugs Unit who discovered a number of cannabis plants and the associated paraphernalia for growing them and making cannabis from them.

“We believe the drug was being produced for sale and supply,” a Garda spokesperson told the Midland Tribune.
