'It's not goodbye' - Offaly café to close but not for good as they update customers

An Offaly café has updated customers of their closure for the winter period.

The Cortyard Café at Birr Castle Demesne took to social media to share the news with their customers after a brilliant 2023.

"It's time to wrap up another fantastic year for The Courtyard Cafe at Birr Castle Demesne," they said.

"Don't worry, though! It's not a goodbye, but rather a 'see you later.' The Courtyard Cafe will be taking a well-deserved rest during the winter months and will return with even more delights and surprises in the spring of 2024."

Regulars were quick to offer well wishes and are already looking forward to next year.

One wrote: "Well done Orla and Sean enjoy the well earned break."

Another added: "Looking forward to seeing you again next year."
