Major development at Offaly pub including caravan park and glamping pods given green light FILE PIC
Plans for a major development at a pub in Offaly including a caravan park and glamping pods have been given the green light.
Thomas Bennett & James Kelly of Bare Meadows Ltd, applied to Offaly County Council for Planning Permission for the transformative works at the pub formerly known as the Lough Boora Inn, adjacent to Lough Boora Park.
Included in the plans is the conversion of the existing residential property located to the rear of the existing pub to commercial use. It is also planned to construct a northern side extension and also a new flat roofed outdoor dining area
The plans also include a reception building, six glamping pods, and pitch parking for 16 caravans or motorhomes with separate electricity and water supplies for each pitch. The plans also include and outdoor play area.
The plans will also see the construction of 35 car parking spaces to include four EV charging spaces and four disabled access parking spaces.
Planning permission for the major develpment has been granted with 16 conditions attached. Details of the conditions are not yet available.
