Driver stopped by gardaí travelling at staggering speed in 50kph zone near Offaly border tested positive for drugs
A driver has been detected by gardaí driving at over twice the local speed limit and was found to have drugs in his system when stopped.
The driver was clocked by gardaí travelling at 111kms per hour in a 50km zone in Roscrea on Friday night, September 29.
After the driver was pulled over, he tested positive for cannabis and was arrested by gardaí.
The driver will now face a court appearance.
Gardaí have reminded motorists to drive safe.
