BREAKING: Shane Lowry named in Europe Team for the Ryder Cup in Rome
Shane Lowry has been named in the European Team for the upcoming Ryder Cup in Rome.
The Offaly golfer was chosen as one of six Captain's picks by Europe captain Luke Donald.
Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Robert MacIntyre, Viktor Hovland, Tyrrell Hatton and Matt Fitzpatrick were the automatic qualifiers for the team with Luke Donald selecting Ludvig Aberg, Tommy Fleetwood, Nicolai Hojgaard, Justin Rose and Sepp Straka along with Lowry as his picks.
It will be Lowry's second Ryder Cup after he was part of the European Team who lost to the USA by 19-9 at Whistling Straits.
